DIES FAR FROM NATIVE LAND

Mrs. Florence Chrisantoes died Wednesday night at her home on one of the Barry farms, midway between Blair and Kennard, death being occasioned by pneumonia. She was the wife of Constant Chrisantoes, quite well known to many in this vicinity and highly respected. Deceased was a native of France where she married thirty years ago, coming to this country five years later, and would have been 67 years of age of the 2nd of next March. There are no relatives in this country, a couple of married daughters living in France being the only living relatives. The many friends of the sorrowing husband sympathize with him in bereavement. Funeral arrangements could not be ascertained at the time of going to press.

Mrs. Florence Chrisantoes died Wednesday night at her home near Kennard of acute pneumonia. She was a native of France where she was married and came to this county twenty-five years ago. The deceased was sixty-seven years old and the wife of Constant Chrisantoes, who is well known in this city, the couple being hard working folks and highly respected by all who knew them.

The only living relatives of the dead woman are three daughters, all married and reside in France.

Mr. Chrisantoes has the sympathy of the entire community in his bereavement.

Father O’Driscoll conducted the funeral services at the Catholic Church Saturday morning and the burial took place in the Blair Cemetery.

Mrs. Constant Chrisantos died of pneumonia at her home on one of the Barry farms southwest of Blair last Thursday morning. She had been in poor health all summer but when seized with pneumonia on Monday her vitality was too low to withstand the shock. The funeral was held at the Catholic church at 10 o’clock Saturday morning, Father O’Driscol officiating.

Florence Terro was born in Normande, France, March 2nd, 1847, and was married to Constant Chrysantos in 1875. They came to America in 1890 and lived for two years in Fremont, the balance of the time in this county. Besides the husband she leaves an only daughter in Paris, France. Mr. Chrysantos hasn’t a relative in America, but expects to sell his stock and farm implements and move to this city to spend the balance of his days.
