Funeral services for C. E. Crist 74, were held Thursday afternoon at the Methodist Church in Arlington, Rev. Frank Williams officiating. Mr. Crist was born in Herkimer County, New York and in 1872 came to Nebraska settling east of Fremont where he lived twenty-nine years. Twenty-three years ago he moved to Arlington entering the confectionery business which he continued for five years, then moving to Eustis. For the last eighteen years he has been publisher of a weekly newspaper of Eustis. Surviving are his wife, three daughters, Mrs. Ruth Morgan, Waterloo, Mrs. Monty Shields, Eustis and Mrs. Neva Thrasher, Eustis, one son, S. E. Crist, Eustis and one step son, John Brennan, of Spokane, Wash. Mrs. Charles McKeenan, of Fremont, and Mrs. Henry Close, of Arlington, are sisters of Mrs. Crist. Burial was made at the Arlington Cemetery.
