The funeral for Ella Christ, 100 of Fremont, who died December 25, 1994 at the Hooper Care Center was held Thursday, December 19 at Ludvigsen Mortuary in Fremont. Rev. Scott Postlewait officiated. Burial was in the Herman Cemetery.

Ella Christ was born Ella Kjeldgaard May 5, 1894 in Dundee, Texas. She married Herman Christ February 24, 1925 in Council Bluffs, Iowa.

They lived in the Telbasta and Fontanelle areas before moving to Fremont. She moved into the Gifford Towers after her husband’s death at age 91 in December, 1971. She had lived at the Hooper Care Center since November 1, 1994.

She was preceded in death by four sons, a daughter and seven brothers.

She is survived by two daughters, Dorothy (Mrs. Henry) Wilkening of Arlington and Luella (Mrs. Robert) Larsen of Fremont; two sisters, Clare (Mrs. Joe) Infante of Miami and Anna (Mrs. Mac) McKeehan Plainfield, Indiana; three brothers, Fred and Harold of Tekamah and Otto of Washington; 13 grandchildren; many great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers were Marlin Greunke, Bob Toebben, Jack Sanders, Mark Larsen, Steve Christ, Terry Christ and Mike Christ.

The funeral for Ella Christ, 100, 2510 N. Clarkson St., will be 11 a.m. Thursday at Ludvigsen Mortuary in Fremont.

Christ died Sunday, Dec. 25, 1994, at Hooper Care Center.

Ella Kjeldgaard was born May 5, 1894, in Dundee, Texas. She married Herman Christ Feb. 24, 1925, in Council Bluffs, Iowa. They lived in the Telbasta and Fontanelle areas before moving to Fremont. He died in December 1971. At age 91, she moved to Gifford Towers; she moved to Hooper Care Center in November.

Survivors include two daughters, Dorothy (Mrs. Henry) Wilkening of Arlington and Louella (Mrs. Robert) Larsen of Fremont; two sisters, Clare (Mrs. Joe) Infante of Miami and Anna (Mrs. Mac) McKeehan Plainfield, Ind.; three brothers, Fred and Harold, both of Tekamah and Otto of Mica, Wash.; 13 grandchildren and many great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.

The Rev. Scott Postlewait will officiate Thursday’s service. Visitation will be 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Wednesday and 9 a.m. until service time, both at the mortuary. Burial will be at Herman Cemetery.
