Arlington native Evelyn C. Christ, 86, of Fremont, died Friday, Nov. 1, 2002, at Nye Pointe Health and Rehab Center in Fremont.

Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 6, at Moser Memorial Chapel in Fremont, with the Rev. Karl Rist officiating. Interment will be in Memorial Cemetery in Fremont.

Visitation will be from 3 p.m. to 9 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 5 and from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Funeral Home.

Evelyn C. Christ was born April 14, 1916, in rural Arlington to Edward and Clara (Flake) Gosker. She grew up and lived on a farm north of Arlington. She was a 1933 graduate of Hooper High School.

On Feb. 15, 1939, she married Ervin A. Christ at Hooper. After her marriage, the couple lived in Fremont. Mrs. Christ had been living at the Pathfinder House in Fremont since September, 2002.

Mrs. Christ was a member of the Jessie Benton Chapter of the Izaak Walton League at Fremont.

She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Janice and George Ogard of El Cajon, Calif., and a sister and brother-in-law, Erna Mae and Bob Whorton of Chesterfield, Mo.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Ervin; sister, Helen Schulz; and brothers Obert and Marvin Gosker.

Memorials are suggested to the Jessie Benton Chapter of the Izaak Walton League.

Moser Memorial Chapel in Fremont is in charge of arrangements.
