Services for Glenn H. Christ, 63, of rural North Bend who died December 23, 1990 at Memorial Hospital of Dodge County were Thursday, December 27 at Ludvigsen Mortuary Chapel in Fremont. Rev. Don Ball officiated. Military graveside services will be conducted by members of North Bends Veterans of Foreign Wars Post No. 8223 at Woodland Cemetery in North Bend.

Glenn H. Christ, 63 was born April 9, 1927 in Tekamah. He grew up in the Telbasta area in Washington County.

He served with the United States Army during World War II and was a lifetime member of VFW Post No 8233 of North Bend.

He was owner-operator of Christ Construction Co. until retiring in 1986.

He married Phyllis Nelson in Wahoo. He married Barbara Severson December 15, 1979 in Fremont. She survives.

Other survivors include his mother Ella Christ of Fremont; three sons, Terry of Cedar Bluffs, Michael of Morse Bluff and Steven of Colon; two daughters, Shirley Christ of Chester, West Virginia and Kim Vitek of Lincoln; two sisters, Louella (Mrs. Robert) Larsen of Fremont and Dorothy (Mrs. Henry) Wilkening of Arlington; and two brothers, Harold of Minden and Ervin of Fremont.

A memorial has been established to the North Bend Rescue Squad.

The funeral for Glenn H. Christ, 63, of rural North Bend, will be 2 this afternoon at Ludvigsen Mortuary Chapel in Fremont.

Mr. Christ died Sunday, Dec. 23, 1990, at Memorial Hospital of Dodge County. He was a retired business owner.

He was born April 9, 1927 in Tekamah. He grew up in the Telbasta area in Washington County. He served with the United States Army during World War II. He was owner-operator of Christ Construction Co. until retiring in 1986.

Mr. Christ was a lifetime member of VFW Post No 8223 of North Bend.

He married Phyllis Nelson in Wahoo. On December 15, 1979, he married Barbara Severson, who survives.

The Rev. Don Gall will officiate this afternoon’s services. Visitation is in progress at the funeral chapel. Military graveside service will be conducted by members of North Bends VFW Post No. 8223 at Woodland Cemetery in North Bend.
