Funeral services for Otto L. Christ were held Saturday, April 4, from Piper Chapel in Lyons, Nebr., at 2:30 p.m., with Rev. T. Pederson officiating. Theodore Pederson was pianist and there was singing by the congregation.

Pallbearers were Lee Beck, Nels Pederson, Clifford McCracken, Jack Gustin, Otto Matzen and Glen Christ. Interment was in the Lyons Cemetery, Lyons, Nebr., with Piper Service in charge of arrangements.

Otto L. Christ was born to Nick and Emma Christ June 29, 1882, at St. Louis, Mo., and died March 30, 1964, in a Sioux City, Iowa hospital at the age of 81 years, nine months and one day.

He came to Herman, Nebr., at the age of seven years and lived at Blair, Kennard, Arlington, Decatur, Rosalie, Walthill and Lyons. He spent his life farming.

On July 3, 1917 he was married to Hattie E. Wilder of Herman at Blair, Nebr. To this union were born eight sons and three daughters.

He is survived by his widow; eight sons, Art and Gene of Lyons, Henry and Clarence of Omaha, Emil of Hoskins, Ernest of Fremont, Albert of Decatur and Gerald in the U. S. Navy; three daughters, Mrs. Frank Biggio (Mildred) of Fort Lauderdale, Fla., Mrs. Thomas Bales (Ramona) of West Point and Mrs. Orville Hankins (Clara) of Homer; also four sisters, Louise Gustin and Lizzie Mencke of Blair, Oliva Matzen of Kennard and Mary McCracken of Omaha, and 24 grandchildren.
