MILDRED LUPTON

Mildred L. Lupton, 88, of Beemer died Friday, Jan. 25, 2013, at Creighton Medical Center in Omaha.

She was born April 4, 1924 at Spiker to James and Carrie (Christiansen) Rasmussen. She was raised in the Spiker area until moving to Tekamah. She lived in several different communities until settling in Beemer. She was a retired Campbell Soup employee.

Survivors include: daughters, Alice (and husband Robert) Hines of Satellite Beach, Fla.; Shirley A. (and husband Stanley) Schutt of Morrowville, Kan.; and Deloris (and husband Marvin) Brainard of Fremont; sons, William Lupton of Fremont; and Roger Lupton of Beemer; special daughter-in-law, Sharon Jensen of Dakota City; 14 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; and 12 great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her two husbands, Ronald Modlin and Joseph Lupton; a son, two grandsons, and a granddaughter.

The funeral will be 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Ludvigsen Mortuary Chapel in Fremont with the Rev. Scott Jensen officiating. Visitation will be from 3 – 8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home with the family receiving friends from 6 – 8 p.m. Burial will be in Memorial Cemetery in Fremont.
