Ethellean L. Barth, 92 of Fremont died Monday, Jan. 14, 2013, at Arbor Manor in Fremont.

She was born Sept. 5, 1920 in Arlington to William and Ida (Ahlmeyer) Hilgenkamp. She grew up in the Arlington area and lived in Colorado for many years until moving to Fremont. She was employed by Hammond & Stephens Company in Fremont for many years. She had been residing at Arbor Manor since 2007.

Ehtellean married Howard Waechter. She later married Leonard Barth on Sept. 1, 1970. Leonard died Jan. 9, 1988.

She was a member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church at Arlington.

She is survived by sister-in-law, LaVerne Hilgenkamp of Colon; and nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; sister, Viola Kassebaum; and brothers, Edwin, Clarence and Leslie Hilgenkamp.

The funeral will be 10:30 a.m. Thursday at Reckmeyer-Moser Funeral Home in Arlington with the Rev. Rick Kanoy of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church officiating. Visitation will be from 5 – 7 p.m. today at the funeral home with the family receiving friends from 6 – 7 p.m. Visitation will continue one hour prior to service time Thursday at the funeral home. Burial will be in St. Paul’s Lutheran Cemetery, north of Arlington.

Memorials may be given to St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, Arlington.
