AMELIA MELROY

Amelia C. Melroy of Ames died Monday, Oct. 29, 2012 at Bergan Mercy Medical Center in Omaha. Amelia was born Oct. 5 in rural Arlington to Nye and Helen (Eckstein) Snyder. She married Elmer Melroy on Nov. 13, 1967 in Columbus. She lived in the Fremont area most of her life.

She was a member of First Baptist Church in Fremont.

She is survived by her husband, Elmer; son, Nye Larsen of North Platte; daughters, Jamie Bertram, Mary Larsen-Kuhl and Linda (and husband, Jay) Taylor, all of Fremont; and Karen (and husband, Lowell) Wedekind of Illinois City, Ill.; brothers, Tony and wife, Margaret) Snyder of Blair and Nye (and wife Jan) Snyder of Fremont; sisters, Marian Rohloff and Leona (and husband, J. C.) Watson, all of Fremont; and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a son-in-law, a sister and a brother.

The memorial service will be 11 a.m. Thursday at Moser Memorial Chapel in Fremont with the Rev. Steve Watson officiating. There is no visitation. Memorials may be directed to the family.
