McManigal Killed In Fall At Mill

Mr. Jenty E. McManigal of Council Bluffs, Iowa died Saturday, May 4th, after falling about 30 feet, following an explosion in a bin at the Purina Mills Company, where he was employed. Mr. McManigal was using a blow torch in repair work and it was thought that the dust in the bin caused the explosion.

Mr. McManigal was born in Tekamah on December 2, 1924 to Mr. and Mrs. Jent McManigal. They moved to Blair shortly after that time.

He was married to Catherine DeWitt and they resided in Omaha for four years before moving to Council Bluffs 16 years ago.

They are the parents of six children Marvin 15, Michael 14, Patrick 6, Cynthia 5, Sandra 3, and Susan 2.

Survivors besides his wife and children are his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Jent McManigal, Sr., of Blair; brothers, Harold of Council Bluffs, Jerry of Sioux City; sisters, Mrs. Grace Earleywine of Omaha and Mrs. Ruth Miller of Little Rock, Arkansas.

Funeral services were held Tuesday, May 7th at the Meyer Chapel in Council Bluffs at 10 A.M. Rosary recitation was at 8 P.M. on Monday.

Internment was in the Council Bluffs Cemetery.
