Services for Edward Quist, age 92 of Blair, who died September 9, 1994 at Crowell Memorial Home, were held Monday, September 12 at First United Methodist Church. Burial was in the Blair Cemetery.

Edward William Quist was born February 10, 1902 at DeSoto, Nebraska, to Jons Peter and Bengta Mansson Quist. He attended the Summers School (District 19).

He was baptized at First Lutheran Church. He was a member of First United Methodist Church.

On August 20, 1924 he married Goldie Fryman in Council Bluffs, Iowa.

He farmed his entire life west of Blair. In 1976, He retired from the farm and moved to Blair.

He was preceded in death by his parents and seven brothers and sisters, Betty Soske, Anna Quist, Johanna Garske, Hannah Richter, Hjalmer Quist, Frittlof Quist and Alfred Quist.

Surviving him in death is his wife, Goldie, three daughters and sons-in-law, Norma and Don Olson, Blair; Elaine and Dareld Ahrens, Blair; and Betty Ann and William Phifer, Peachland, North Carolina; eight grandchildren, Braxon Daniel, Travis Daniel, Ashley William Daniel, Jill Olson, Kiley Olson, Jody Olson, March Hielsen, Jason Nielsen, Rachael Ahrens, Rebecca Ahrens and Kristopher Ahrens.

Campbell-Aman Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
