B. Jean Flynn, 88

B. Jean Flynn, 88, of Blair, died Wednesday, Sept. 3, 2014, at Memorial Community Hospital in Blair.

Services will be 10 a.m. Saturday at the First United Methodist Church in Blair. Interment will be in the Blair Cemetery following services.

Visitation will be Friday evening at Campbell-Aman Funeral Home with family receiving friends from 6 to 8 p.m.

B. Jean Fisher was born Feb. 26, 1926, in Bradshaw, to Manley and Mabel (Porter) Fisher.

She attended country school in the Bradshaw area. In 1937, the Fisher family moved to the Blair area, and she attended country school at the Gardner School. Jean graduated from Blair High School as a member of the Class of 1943.

After graduation, she worked for Mutual Of Omaha as a typist.

On Dec. 12, 1945, she was united in marriage to Adrian Flynn at the Congregational Church in Blair. To this union, five sons were born.

Jean was an active member of the First United Methodist Church in Blair and was active in the Church Circle. She also belonged to the Washington County Extension Club. In 1979, she began quilting and had made countless quilts over the years.

Jean is survived by her children: Adrian (Janice Flynn) Flynn of Blair, Patrick (Connie Derry) Flynn of Omaha, Les Flynn of Blair, Monte (Julie) Flynn of Blair and John (Lisa) Flynn of Sutherland; and grandchildren: Scott, Justin, Sean, Richard, Bridgette, Matthew, Jeremiah, Les Jr., Jessica, Natalie, Jenna, Meredith, Tell and True. She is also survived by 32 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband Adrian Flynn; brothers: Paul and Wayne Fisher; and sister Mary Margaret Peter.

Memorials may be directed to the First United Methodist Church in Blair or Memorial Community Hospital in Blair.
