Gwendolyn Rasmussen, 80

Gwendolyn Rasmussen, 80, died Saturday, May 16, 2015. She was born Jan. 25, 1935.

She was preceded in death by her father, Charles Jewell; mother Helen Brown; brothers: Jerry, Donald and Robert Jewell; son-in-law Harold Matney; brothers-in-law: Donald Rasmussen and Pat Mallette; niece Crystal Mallette; nephews: Tim Jensen and Chip Jewell.

She is survived by her husband, H. William (Bill) Rasmussen; children: Roxi (George) Hall, Rhonda Matney, Robin (Mark) Miller, Rick (Robbin) Rasmussen; grandchildren: Anthony (Tracy) Hall, Nick (Mandee) Hall, Adam (Ashlee) Hall, Jill Matney, Jayme Matney, Bailey (Mark) Van Zee, Danielle (Lidman) Presentacion, Paige Miller, Amber (Ryan) Owens, LCPL Riley Rasmussen, Gavin Rasmussen; 12 great-grandchildren; sisters-in-law: Opal (Jack) Jensen, Helen Mallette, Ardith Rasmussen, Jan Jewell; stepfather Ralph Brown.

Visitation was held Monday, May 18, from 4 to 8 p.m., with family present from 6 to 8 p.m., at Campbell-Aman Funeral Home. Funeral service will be held May 19 at 10:30 a.m. at First United Methodist Church, 1656 Colfax St., Blair. Interment will be at Blair Cemetery.

Memorials are suggested to University of Iowa Foundation, Attn: RP & MD; First United Methodist Church, Crowell Memorial Home; or Gentiva Hospice.
