COMPTON FUNERAL HELD

Mrs. B. W. COMPTON, 62, OF LONG CREEK DIES AFTER AN ILLNESS

Mrs. Barry W. Compton, 62, of the Long Creek vicinity died at University Hospital in Omaha Sunday following a lengthy illness.

Funeral services were held at the Bendorf Funeral Home yesterday at 2 p.m., with the Rev. John P. Brooks, pastor of First Methodist Church of Blair, and the Rev. J. C. Green, Free Methodist pastor from Fremont, officiating. Interment was in Blair Cemetery.

As Pearl A. Tucker, daughter of John and Josephine Tucker, Mrs. Compton was born near Blair January 3, 1880. She and Mr. Compton were married in Blair November 18, 1903.

Surviving are her husband; one daughter, Bernice, at home; and one brother, Percy Tucker of Fort Calhoun.

Mrs. Compton and daughter joined the Methodist Church in 1929.

PEARL TUCKER COMPTON

Mrs. Pearl Tucker Compton, wife of B. W. Compton of south of Blair, died after a lingering illness in an Omaha hospital Monday, April 27th.

She was born near Blair on January 3, 1880 and was thus past 62 years of age at her death. She was married to B. W. Compton on November 18, 1903. One daughter who still survives was born to them. Besides the husband and the daughter she leaves a brother, Percy Tucker of Fort Calhoun, all of whom grieve deeply her passing.

Funeral services were held Wednesday afternoon from the Bendorf Funeral Home with Rev. Brooks of the local Methodist Church.
