Services for Dorothy Mae Hovendick, 76, of Blair, who died October 23, 1986, at Memorial Community Hospital in Blair, were held Saturday, October 25, at the Herman Baptist Church, Rev. Larry Orvis officiated and burial was in the Herman Cemetery.

Mrs. Hovendick was born March 18, 1910, the daughter of Leroy and Flossie Montgomery of Herman.

She was married to Chester Hovendick on January 2, 1929, in Red Oak, Iowa.

Survivors include her husband; two daughters, Mrs. Dwaine (Jean) Jordan of Herman and Ione Reed of Omaha; one brother, Earl Montgomery of Rockaway, Oregon; and one sister, Mrs. Freeman (Eulalia) Loftis of Blair, three grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Pallbearers included: Kent Jordan, Greg Jordan, Jim Realph, Vernon Clements, Jack Hovendick and Howard Loftis.

Honorary pallbearers included Wayne Loftis, Dale Robinson, Harold Robinson, Vernon Hovendick, Howard Hovendick, Freeman Loftis and Omar Kauffel.

Gracie Husk or organist and Lois Wachter was vocalist.

Campbell Funeral Home of Blair was in charge of arrangements.
