Wayne E. Reed, 85 years, of Arlington died Sunday, Nov. 19 at Dunklau Gardens in Fremont.

Wayne was born December 14, 1931 in Stella to Raymond and Thelma (Mason) Reed. Wayne served in the U.S. Army and later served in the U.S. Navy.

He married Georgianna Johnson on June 27, 1954 in Stoughton, MA. After living in Massachusetts, Minnesota and Lincoln, Wayne, Georgianna and family settled in Arlington in 1967. He was a truck driver for Bell Creek at Arlington and Trans-Continental Lines at Omaha. Georgianna died March 29, 2000.

He was a member of the Teamsters and the American Legion Post #71 at Arlington.

Wayne is survived by his children, Charles (Lori) Reed, Doug (Michelle) Reed and Lawrence (Tamar) Reed all of Arlington, Kenny (Carrie) Reed of Firth and Allyson (Korey) Perry of Fremont; sister, Rosalie Walbridge of Lincoln; 14 grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents; son, Robert Reed; 3 sisters and 1 brother.

Memorial Service will be 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, November 22, 2017 at Reckmeyer-Moser Funeral Home in Arlington. The Rev. David Paul will officiate. The family will receive friends on Tuesday from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be at the Arlington Cemetery with military honors. Memorials may be directed to the family for a designation at a later time.
