Rites Wednesday For Ed Fletcher

Funeral services will be held Wednesday at the Herman Baptist Church for Eddie Freeman Fletcher, 77 years of age, who died Sunday.

The services will be held at 2 o’clock, the Rev. Percy Bruns officiating with interment in the Herman Cemetery.

Mr. Fletcher is survived by his wife Mary; children, Mrs. Marjorie Wakefield of Herman, Delbert Fletcher of Haywood, California, Earl Fletcher of Walters, Oklahoma, and Mrs. Peggy Babson of Concord, California; sisters, Birdie Fletcher, Alma Fletcher and Mrs. Lillian Loftis all of Herman.

Mr. Fletcher was born May 27, 1886, at Herman. He was a mechanic prior to his retirement.

Campbell Mortuary is in charge of arrangements.

Ed Fletcher Buried Wednesday

Eddie Freeman Fletcher, 77, passed away Sunday, July 6th at his home in Herman.

He was born May 27th, 1886 in the New England vicinity and was united in marriage to Miss Grace Laughlin on October 27, 1906. They were the parents of five children. Four of them survive: Earl of Walters, Oklahoma, Delbert of Haywood, California, Mrs. George (Evelyn) Babson of Concord, California and Mrs. Warren (Marjorie Wakefield of Herman. Mrs. Grace Fletcher has passed away.

On September 20, 1924 he was married to Mrs. Mary Larsen of Herman who survives him. Other survivors besides his wife and four children are three sisters: Mrs. Lillian Loftis, Misses Alma and Birdie Fletcher all of Herman, 15 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.

With the exception of a few years at Crawford, Nebraska he lived in Washington County. The last few years he served as night watchman in Herman.

Funeral services were held on Wednesday, July 10th at the Baptist Church in Herman. The Rev. Percy J. Bruns officiated and the Campbell Mortuary was in charge of arrangements. Burial was in the Herman Cemetery.

Pallbearers were: Carl Christensen, Clark Davis, Robert Laughlin, Harley Appleby, Clifford West, and Harold Johnson.
