Henry C. Rann died very suddenly of heart failure at about 11 o’clock Monday night while sitting in his chair at the Merchant’s Café, in the old Merchant’s Hotel building. He was about during the day the same as usual, but had complained some of his heart.

The funeral will be held at the Baptist Church at 10:30 tomorrow, Thursday, morning, Rev. C. M. Foreman officiating. Mr. Rann was born in Schleswig, Holstein, Germany, March 6th, 1871, and was therefore but little past 48 years of age. He came to this country when but 13 years old and settled in Iowa. He was married at Charter Oak, Ia., to Anna Jessen and they made their home there for some twelve years. Later they removed to Omaha and then to Blair five years ago.

Six children were born to them, two of whom died in infancy. Those living are Nellie, Mrs. Clarence Anderson, Edward, Hilda and Henrietta, all of this city. Beside these he leaves one brother, Peter Rann, of Remsen, Ia., and one sister, Mrs. Christina Miller.
