Adrian C. Flynn, 83

Adrian C. Flynn, 83, of Blair, died Tuesday, May 31, 2005, at Immanuel Hospital in Omaha.

Funeral services were Saturday, June 4, at First United Methodist Church in Blair. Interment was in the Blair Cemetery.

Adrian C. Flynn was born July 12, 1921, in Ord to Richard and Ruth (Harris) Flynn. He moved to Blair in 1931 with his parents and attended school in Blair, graduating from Blair High School in 1939.

On Dec. 12, 1945, he married Billie Jean Fisher at the Congregational Church in Blair.

His work and passion was dairy farming on the family farm, “Flynn Field Farms”. He retired in 1993 when the farm was sold. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church, Mid America Dairy Association and was a long-time blood donor for the American Red Cross.

He is survived by his wife, Billie Jean; sons and daughters-in-law, Adrian of Omaha, Patrick and friend, Connie Derry, of Norfolk, Les of Blair, Monte and Julie, also of Blair, John and Lisa of Sutherland; 14 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; two brothers and a sister-in-law, Eugene and Katie Flynn of Blair and Thomas Flynn, also of Blair; sisters and brother-in-law, Ruth and Dick Lippincott of Blair, and Isabell Shapnek of Scotia, N.Y.

He was preceded in death by a sister, Margaret Phillips; two brothers, Richard and Robert; and a daughter-in-law, Ellen Flynn.

In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to Fragile X Foundation or the First United Methodist Church.

Services Sat 10am, First United Methodist Church, Blair. Burial Blair Cemetery. Visitation will begin 10am Fri with family receiving friends from 6-8pm. In lieu of flowers, memorials to Fragile X Foundation or First United Methodist Church.
