Marian M. Brodersen, 91, of Blair, died Monday, Nov. 15, 2004, at Memorial Community Hospital in Blair.

Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. Friday, Nov. 19, at the Herman Legion Hall. Interment will be in the Herman Cemetery.

Marian M. Brodersen was born Dec. 20, 1912, in Herman to Raymond and Mary (Kruse) Triplett. She was baptized at the Herman Baptist Church. After her graduation from Herman High School, she operated a beauty shop in Herman.

In May 1941, she married Charles Brodersen and they began farming in the Herman area. Mr. Brodersen soon entered the Army, and Mrs. Brodersen and her young son made their home with her parents during World War II. After the war, they resumed farming until retirement.

Mrs. Brodersen enjoyed reading, crossword puzzles, playing cards and fishing. Her greatest enjoyment was the company of her grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and visits with her many nieces and nephews.

She was a member of the Herman Federated Church, Eastern Star, Herman Legion Auxiliary and Echo Extension Club. She was a resident of Good Shepherd Lutheran Home in Blair since 1996.

She is survived by her sons and daughters-in-law, John and Joyce Brodersen of Herman, James and Maureen Brodersen of Omaha; five grandchildren and their families, all of Omaha,; five great-grandsons; sisters-in-law, Bette Triplett of Blair, Peg Triplett of Tekamah; and brother-in-law, Robert Brodersen of Oakland.

She was preceded in death by her husband; brothers, Elzy, Harold, Howard and Floyd Triplett; and her sisters, Ann Barton, Alice Lamb, Helen Whittig, and Donna Rae Jordan.

Campbell-Aman Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
