Norma D. Brunton, 92, died Sunday, November 21, 2004, at Crowell Memorial Home in Blair.

Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. Friday, Nov. 26, at the Herman Community Church in Herman. Interment will be in the Herman Cemetery.

Norma D. Brunton was born May 9, 1912, in Decatur to Lee and Ethel (Morley) Higgins. She graduated from Decatur High School in 1929, and received a degree in education from Dana College.

On Aug. 29, 1932, she married Stanley E. Brunton in Wayne. They made their home in Herman. Mrs. Brunton was an elementary teacher in the Herman and Tekamah Schools.

She was a member of Eastern Star Chapter No. 216.

She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Peggy and James E. Thomas of Omaha; four grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; a sister, Mary Beck of Whittier, Calif.; sister-in-law, Hooley Lewis of Warrensburg, Mo.; nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Stanley; son, Monty; and brother, Leright and Morley Higgins.

Memorials are suggested to the Herman Community Church.
