A. R. KELLEY DIES IN BLAIR HOSPITAL TUESDAY

Found Unconscious Dies Before Regaining Consciousness

Archibald R. Kelley, 52, a resident of Blair and formerly the head of an Omaha collection agency, was found dying Tuesday afternoon in a field near his home on the outskirts of Blair. He later succumbed at the Court View hospital without regaining consciousness.

According to Sheriff Marion Sutherland he had been ill, but that the cause of his death had been undetermined. He had been divorced by his wife in Omaha in 1927 after a legal battle that lasted two years, and was finally decided in the supreme court.

The sons are now 19 and 17 years respectively, and it is reported are living with their mother in Omaha. After the divorce, Kelley moved back to Blair, his former home and has continued his residence here since. He has for some time lived in seclusion.

Kelley, who was said not to have left the place for about a month, disappeared about 11:30 a.m. Tuesday, and was found wandering in a field. He was induced to return home and eat lunch, but went out again soon afterward, and was found semi conscious in the field. He was taken to the hospital where he died without making any statement.

In his rooms was found a note, the contents of which Sheriff Sutherland refused to disclose.

Surviving, besides the mother, the former wife and sons, are two brothers, Harold M. Kelley of Omaha and Edwin M. Kelley of California and a sister, Mrs. Trude Nagel of Leigh, Nebr.

Funeral services will be held Saturday at 2:00 p.m. from the Bendorf Funeral Home, and interment will be made in the Blair cemetery with the Masons in charge.
