EDWARD C. RANN VICTIM OF DEATH

v Edward C. Rann, well known restaurant proprietor of Blair, was found dead in his room at the Fick rooming house at about nine o’clock Monday night. The physician who was called stated that he had been dead for several hours.

Deceased was born in Iowa and at his death was thirty seven years of age. The family came to Blair about twenty one years ago, and the father engaged in the hotel business. He passed away in 1919.

After the death of the father, Ed and his mother conducted the business for a time, but later he opened up the restaurant just east of The Enterprise office where he enjoyed an exceptionally good business.

During war time he enlisted in the army, but before time for him to go overseas, peace was declared, and he was honorably discharged and came home.

He leaves to mourn his sad death his mother, Mrs. Anna Rann and three sisters, Mrs. Nell Anderson and Mrs. John Fitch of Blair and Mrs. W. J. Culver of Central City, Nebraska.

Funeral services are to be held this Thursday afternoon from the Baptist church with Rev. T. J. Reese officiating, and the ceremonies are to be sponsored by the American Legion of which he was a member.

As a man Ed Rann was held in high respect and his friends feel deeply his sad ending. In business he was exceptionally capable and in his dealing with men he was fair and honorable.
