PAUL RASMUSSEN

Paul Rasmussen, age 73 years, passed away at the University hospital last Friday after an attack of stomach trouble which later developed into pneumonia.

Deceased was born in Denmark, coming to America when about 24 years of age, and for a time farmed just north of Orum. Later he moved to Blair, where among other lines of businesses, he was engaged in the livery business and later ran a smokehouse.

He apparently had no relatives in this country, although some, it is said, were located in Omaha and a brother in the mother country. In his dealings with men he was considered honest and had many friends who were loyal to him.

Funeral services are being held this Thursday afternoon at 2 o’clock from the J E. Campbell mortuary, and burial will follow in the Blair cemetery.
