MRS. L. RASMUSSEN RITES MONDAY

Mrs. Louis Rasmussen of Spiker passed away last Saturday, March 24 at the Nicholas Senn hospital in Omaha following an operation for goiter. She had been in ill health for some time, and the operation was performed as the last hope for relief.

Deceased was born near Blair on February 3, 1889, and was the youngest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. O. M. Ireland. She was married June 15, 1915 to Louis Rasmussen of Spiker, and has, since her marriage, made her home at that place where the husband is still in business.

Two children were born to Mr. and Mrs. Rasmussen, Georgia Charlotte, aged 10, who preceded her mother in death just a little over a year ago and a son, Louis Void, aged 11, who is still living, and with the father, grieves the death of the wife and mother.

Surviving Mrs. Rasmussen, besides the son and husband, are her parents, Mr. and Mrs. O. M. Ireland and one sister, Mrs. Fred Huff of Dallas, Texas and four brothers, Void of Blair, Otto M. of Crete, Neb., Clifford J. of Elkhorn, Neb. and Louis G. of Omaha.

The funeral was held last Monday at 2:30 p.m. from the Bendorf Funeral Home, in charge of the Eastern Star of which she was a member, with Rev. Emanuel Petersen of Orum officiating, and interment was made in the Blair cemetery.
