Published in Blair Courier on 6 February 1907

Mrs. Elizabeth Robinson died last Thursday afternoon, Jan. 31st, at the home of her daughter, Mrs. B.C. Maynard, at the advanced age of 77 years, 7 months and 21 days. The funeral services were held at the Maynard home at 11 o'clock Saturday morning, Rev. G.L. Conley officiating in the absence from the city of Rev. A.G. Axtell. The music was by a quartette from the Congregational church and floral tributes were sent by the Congregational church, Mrs. A.G. Axtell and Mrs. and Miss Wentworth. Interment was made in the Blair cemetery. Deceased was born in Pennsylvania June 10th, 1829, and was married to George Robinson at the place of her birth. They came west in 1852, crossing the plains to California, where they lived for several years, returning to Nebraska in 1866. For a number of years they lived on a farm just over the line in Burt county, and afterwards in Tekamah. In 1888, they again went to California where Mr. Robinson died seven years ago. Mrs. Robinson returned to Nebraska two years ago and made her home with her daughter, Mrs. Maynard. She was the mother of ten children, seven of whom survive her, viz: Mrs. Mary Heath, of Omaha; Mrs. Ellen Wilson, of Sioux City, Ia.; Mrs. B.C. Maynard of this city; John Robinson, of Tekamah; Solon Robinson, of Fremont; Wm. Robinson and Mrs. Lucy Myers, who still live on the Pacific coast. Besides these she leaves a stepson , Wesley Robinson, who lives at Bancroft. Mr. and Mrs. Robinson were well known and highly respected in this section of the state where they suffered the hardships of pioneer life and lived to see Nebraska prairie bloom as the rose. She was a dutiful wife and a loving and indulgent mother and often expressed her willingness to "go and be with Him."
