MRS. E. GIESELMANN BURIAL TUESDAY

ARLINGTON - Funeral services for Mrs. Edward Giesselman, who died at the Dodge County Hospital in Fremont on Friday following an illness of a week, were held on Tuesday afternoon at two o’clock at St. Paul’s Lutheran church with the Rev. Carl Hellmann officiating. A brief service preceded at the family home at one thirty o’clock.

As Emma Magdalena Franke, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Adam Franke, Mrs. Giesselman was born near Hooper on March 29, 1904; she was married to Edward Giesselman of this vicinity on February 15, 1928. The couple resided on a farm near here since that time.

The choir, directed by George Bluma, sang “Jerusalem, Thou City Fair and High” and the congregation sang “Asleep in Jesus” and “Jesus, Still Lead On”.

Besides her husband, Mrs. Giesselman is survived by three daughters, Lorraine, Dorothy and Joan; her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Adam Franke of Hooper; also one brother, Howard and one sister, Mrs. Fred Wolf, both of Hooper.

Pallbearers were Elmer Hartung, Alfred Sick, William Franke, Leo Sierk, Henry Danielmeyer and Herman Kallmier.

Distant relatives present for the funeral services were Julius Peters, Mr. and Mrs. Raney and Frederick of Wausa; Mr. and Mrs. Paul Giesselman, Henry Giesselman and Mr. and Mrs. Ray Schloette of Bloomfield; Mr. and Mrs. Herbert Gerleman of Winside; and Mr. and Mrs.Kallmier of Omaha.
