ALBERT P. COMPTON DIED TUESDAY

Albert P. Compton was born in Adams County, Ohio June 1, 1867, and died February 13, 1951 at the Blair Convalescent Home. With his parents, John A. and Malinda Compton, he came to this county in 1867 where he resided his entire life.

He was united in marriage to Ann Clinton on February 13th, 1891 at Blair, and they farmed for years west of Blair. They had no children, but they adopted a son, Claude, who passed away years ago as did his wife.

Deceased was a member of the local Methodist Church and also of the Odd Fellows Lodge.

He is survived by a sister, Mrs. Mary McManigal of Blair, and three half sisters, Mrs. Ben Peck of Blair, Mrs. Willy McManigal of Homer, Nebr. and Mrs. Frannie Lund of Casper, Wyoming. Also two half brothers, John M. of Blair and Carl of Weeping Water and a number of nieces and nephews and a host of friends.

Funeral services will be held this Thursday afternoon from the Methodist church at 2:00 o’clock with Rev. Homer Dickerson officiating, and burial under the supervision of the Bendorf Funeral Home will be made in the Blair cemetery.
