H. V. RASMUSSEN DIES OF HEART ATTACK

Herman Victor Rasmussen passed away Tuesday, December 5th, at the Blair hospital after suffering a heart attack the day previous.

Deceased was born at Hastings, Nebraska October 26, 1885, and with the family, lived in several different towns and finally at Blair. He was the son of the late Rev. P. Rasmussen, pioneer pastor of the United Evangelical Lutheran church. He was married to Miss Laura Kuhr at Lindsa on April 6, 1913, and for thirteen years the couple farmed near Blair, and then moved to Blair where they have resided for the past twenty five years. He has been a faithful and trusted employee of the Blair Feed Mill for many years.

Two children were born to Mrs. and Mrs. Rasmussen, the daughter, Miss Eva, being employed by the Nebraska-Iowa Oil Co., and the son, Raymond, employed by the Soil Conservation in Boyd county, Nebraska.

He is survived by his wife and the two children already mentioned and four sisters, Mrs. Jotius Olsen of Clarion, Iowa; Miss Christina Rasmussen of Blair, Miss Esther Rasmussen of Blair and Mrs. Chris Kuhr of Blair and by one brother, Emmanuel Rasmussen of Tuscon, Arizona.

Funeral services will be held from the First Lutheran church on Thursday, December 7, at 2 pm. with Rev. Jorgensen officiating, and interment under the direction of the Bendorf Funeral Home will be made in the Blair cemetery.
