MRS. SOREN RASMUSSEN DEPARTS THIS LIFE

On Thursday, December 22 at 7 p.m. the spirit of Mrs. Soren Rasmussen took its flight and returned to the God who gave it, her death occurring at the home of her son, A. C. Hansen in this city, with whom she had made her home for nearly four years.

Mrs. Rasmussen’s maiden name was Christina Petersen, and she was born in Denmark nearly 77 years ago, and came to America thirty nine years ago and settled at Fremont where she made her home until she came to live with her son in Blair.

The funeral was held at the Danish Lutheran church at 2:30 on Saturday, and interment was made in the cemetery at Blair. Revs. Vig and Hansen conducted the services in the Danish and English languages respectively. She leaves one son, A. C. Hansen, who is employed in the grocery department of Sas Bros. store in this city, and a daughter, Mrs. R. S. Sorensen of Geneva to mourn the loss of a kind and loving mother, and to whom the sympathy of a large circle of friends is extended.
