Services Held For Paul Gieselmann

Funeral services were Saturday, February 26, at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church for Paul A. Gieselmann, 75, of rural Arlington, who died February 22, 1983, at his home.

The Rev. Dennis Maaske conducted the services. Burial was in St. Paul’s Cemetery near Arlington.

Military graveside services were conducted by the Arlington VFW Post No. 8332 and the Arlington American Legion Post No. 71.

Paul A. Gieselmann was born February 22, 1908, in Arlington and lived in the community all his life. He served in the United States Army in North Africa and Europe during World War II. He was a member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Arlington.

He married Esther Hokamp on March 10, 1946, in Arlington. She preceded him in death November 29, 1970.

His parents, Herman and Anna Beughold Gieselmann, also preceded him in death.

He is survived by one son, Kenneth Gieselmann, Arlington; and one daughter, Mrs. Robert (Janet) Niles of Fremont. Two brothers, Martin Gieselmann of Arlington and Walter Gieselmann of Blair; four sistes, Mrs. Nora Franke and Mrs. Elsie Greunke, both of Fremont; Miss Ella Gieselmann of Arlington and Mrs. Fritz (Edna) Bartling of Fremont; and four grandchildren also survive him.

Pallbearers were Roy Petersen, Henry Probst, Lester Fox, Glen Grandquist, Albert Hansen, Edgar Kugel, Ephraim Johnson and Frank Mullen.

Mrs. Harold Stork was organist. The congregation and choir provided the vocal music.

Memorials may be made to the church or Arlington Rescue Squad.

Reckmeyer-Moser Funeral Home in Arlington is in charge of arrangements for the services.
