Mrs. Elda Hovendick, 84 of Herman Died At Florence Home

Mrs. Elda E. Hovendick, 84, formerly of Herman, died last Tuesday at the Pines Rest Convalescent Home in Florence. She was the widow of Herman Hovendick and is survived by an adopted son, Paul of Craig.

Services were held last Thursday at the Herman Baptist Church, burial following in Herman Cemetery. The Truhlsen Funeral Home was in charge.

Daughter of Harrison and Mary Schellenger, she was born in Jackson, O., Mar. 9, 1867, and was married at Kennard to Mr. Hovendick in October, 1890. They farmed near Kennard, then moved to Herman a year later and farmed there until his death in June, 1942.

Besides her son, she is survived by four grandchildren and by a brother, Guy Schellenger of Jackson, O.
