KENNETH W. RADLER, 92

Kenneth W. Radler, 92, of Blair, died Wednesday, Nov. 15, 2006, at Memorial Community Hospital in Blair.

A Mass of Christian burial will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 18, at St. Francis Borgia Catholic Church in Blair, with interment in the Blair Cemetery. Visitation will begin at 10 a.m. Friday, Nov. 17, at Campbell-Aman Funeral Home, with a 6:30 p.m. rosary.

Kenneth W. Radler was born Aug. 21, 1914, in West Point to Miles and Clara (Remm) Radler. He attended Guardian Angel Grade and High School in West Point, where he graduated in 1932.

He worked for Council Oak Grocery Store in West Point, and was then transferred to Tekamah in 1937. There, he met Maurine Linden, and the couple was married on Jan. 12, 1939.

In 1945, they moved to Blair, where Mr. Radler worked for Gambles, Tyson & Long, and then at Hancock Farm Equipment as a parts salesman for 23 years before retiring.

After retiring Mr. and Mrs. Radler spent their winters traveling to California, Texas and Arizona, working in Yellowstone National Park and picking apples in Washington. The couple visited nearly every state in the United States.

Mr. Radler was a member of St. Francis Borgia Catholic Church, and was active in the Knights of Columbus Council No. 10412.

He was on numerous bowling and horseshoe leagues. He also enjoyed fishing, playing baseball, basketball and golf. He loved to watch Nebraska football and kept up with Blair High School sports. He was an avid card and cribbage player.

He is survived by three children, Jeanette Wiese of Blair; Larry Radler of Billings, Mont.; and Linda and Larry McKee of Blair; five grandchildren and their spouses; one great grandson and six great-granddaughters; and a sister and brother-in-law, Frances Clare and Leon Thompson of Carter Lake, Iowa.

He was preceded in death by his wife of 65 years, Maurine, in 2004.

Memorials are suggested to St. Francis Borgia Catholic Church, Good Shepherd Home, or Memorial Community Hospital in Blair.

Visitation will begin 10 AM Friday with Rosary at 6:30 PM Friday at the Funeral Home. Memorials may be directed to St. Francis Borgia Catholic Church, Good Shepherd Home or Blair Memorial Hospital.
