MARGARET RANKIN, 79

Margaret Rankin, 79, of Blair, died Tuesday, Dec. 21, 2004, in Blair.

A memorial service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday, Dec. 24, at Sievers-Sprick Funeral Home in Fort Calhoun. Interment will be in the Fort Calhoun Cemetery.

Margaret (Wichman) Rankin was born Feb. 13, 1925, in Omaha.

She is survived by her daughters and sons-in-law, Lee and Gary LeCompte of Blair; Rebecca and Jerry Smith of Omaha; and Emily and Terry Anderson of Blair; five grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Leo Rankin.

Memorials are suggested to the Nebraska Humane Society.
