GEORGIA RAY, 76

Georgia Ray, 76, of Blair, died Sunday, Aug. 26, 2001, at Midlands Hospital in Papillion. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 30, at the Campbell-Aman Funeral Home. Interment will be in the Herman Cemetery. Visitation will begin at 9 a.m. Wednesday, with family receiving friends from 6 to 8 p.m.

Georgia Ray was born April 16, 1925, northeast of Tekamah, to George and Elfreda (Fransen) Hansen. She attended the Bell Center and Hillcreek Schools.

She married Roy Austin in 1943, and later married James Tilton. He preceded in death in 1964. She then married Clayton Cripe and later married Carl Ray.

She resided in the Omaha and Herman area until moving to Blair in March 2000. She was a member of the Herman Federated Church, Herman Legion Auxiliary, Blair VFW, and was a past member of the Herman Firemen Auxiliary.

She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Max and Donna Austin of Emerson, Iowa; daughters and sons-in-law, Lorri and John Timm of Herman and Michele and Jay Siers of Fremont; 11 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; sister and brother-in-law, Irma and Virgil Prien of Lyons; and a sister-in-law, Gwen Hansen of Herman.

She was preceded in death by her husbands, Roy Austin and James Tilton, and brother, Lee Hansen.

Memorials are suggested to the Herman Legion Auxiliary.

Campbell-Aman Funeral Home in Blair is in charge of arrangements.
