Mrs. Catherine Rupp died at the home of her daughter Mrs. E. W. Fields, in Omaha, at 8:30 last Saturday morning, from the effects of a paralytic stroke received just a week before. A short funeral service was held at the Fields residence at 10:30 Monday morning and the body brought here on the afternoon train and buried in the Blair Cemetery by the side of her husband, who died two years ago in September. A minister of the Mennonite Church conducted a service at the grave. Catherine Rupert was born in Cumberland County, Pa., May 4, 1845, and was therefore, just past 74 years of age. She was married in Illinois to John Rupp at the age of 22 and nine children were born to them, three sons and six daughters. Dan the last son died of influenza last fall. Five of the six girls are living, Mrs. Fred Nelson, Mrs. R. D. Jacobs, Mrs. Ed Miller and Mrs. E. W. Fields all of Omaha, and Mrs. A. Draeger, of this city. She is survived by two sisters, Mrs. Dan Rupp and Mrs. Fanny Disher, both of West Point. There are 29 grandchildren and 9 great-grandc`hildren.

Mrs. Catherine Rupp, a former Blair resident, passed away at the home of her daughter in Omaha on last Saturday, July 19. Funeral services were held in Omaha on Monday and interment made in the Blair Cemetery in the afternoon. Mrs. Rupp was in her seventy- fifth year and had suffered a paralytic stroke a short time previous to her death. Mrs. A. Draeger, one of her five daughters, lives in Blair and the other in Omaha. Her husband, John Rupp, died a few years ago.
