Mrs. August Draeger was called to Omaha Saturday by the serious illness of her father, John Rupp, he having suffered a third paralytic stroke that morning. Death came at 2 o’clock yesterday morning and the funeral will be held in Omaha at 10 o’clock this morning. The body will be brought here for burial on the afternoon train. Deceased was born in Canada and was 75 years old the 13th day of last May. He was married in Illinois nearly fifty years ago and came to this county 43 years ago. About seven years ago they went to Omaha and made their home at 2226 Meredith Ave., near their daughter, Mrs. E. W. Fields.

Four years ago he suffered a paralytic stroke and has been a helpless invalid since that time. During all this time his wife, who is now 73 years old, has tenderly cared for him. Mr. Rupp was raised in the Mennonite church and a Mennonite minister from Friend conducted the funeral service. Besides the aged widow he leaves five daughters, all but Mrs. August Draeger, of this city, living in Omaha; Mrs. Fred Nelson, Mrs. R. Jacobs, Mrs. Ed Miller and Mrs. E. W. Fields. Also one son, Dan Rupp, of Omaha, and three sisters, Mrs. Chris Good, of this city, Mrs. J. Roswald, of Friend and Mrs. Dan Groner, of Beemer.

John Rupp, an old time resident of Blair, died at his home at 2226 Meredith Ave., Omaha, on Tuesday, Sept., 4, 1917, of paralysis. He suffered a stroke four years ago and has been an invalid since. He was born in Canada, May 13, 1842. He was married in Illinois 50 years ago and came to this county 43 years ago.

The remains were brought to Blair Wednesday afternoon and intered in the Blair Cemetery, a Mennonite minister from Friend, Nebr. conducting the services. Beside the aged widow he leaves five daughters, all but Mrs. August Draeger, of this city, living in Omaha; Mrs. Fred Nelson, Mrs. R. Jacobs, Mrs. Ed Mille, and Mrs. E. w. Fields. Also one son, Dan Rupp, of Omaha, and three sisters, Mrs. Chris Good, of this city, Mrs. J. Roswald of Friend and Mrs. Dan Groner of Beemer.
